Copy and use our lists! These custom lists can target your students' weak areas or their spelling homework. Schools and other organizations can share lists between classes. WizardsSpell is the only product on the market that features customized lists AND enables a school to share lists.
WizardsSpell provides a library of spelling lists that you can copy into your work area. You may then modify the lists by adding, deleting, or changing words to suit your requirements.
Our library of spelling lists contains the following categories:
- Grade Level Spelling Lists - These lists are for grades 1-8 and contain approximately one year's lists for each grade.
- Grade Level No Excuse Words Lists - These are grade level lists of high use words that students should have mastered by the end of the specified grade. Students at that grade level should be able to use and spell correctly in everyday written assignments.
- Frequently Used Words - These lists contain words that are most frequently used. They are useful for increasing sight word recognition (words that are recognized with sounding out or decoding).
- Frequently Misspelled Words - These lists contain words that are frequently misspelled. They often look right when spelled wrong, or involve memorization of an odd spelling rule (e.g., "i" before "e" except after "c"....).
- Spelling Bee Lists - These lists are for students who are drilling for spelling bees. Provided at different difficulty levels, they come from a number of different sources and orientations. As such, there is a certain amount of duplication. These lists are often quite large. You may want to make copies of these lists and reduce them into smaller lists.
