WizardsSpell Puts Spelling Excellence Within Reach

New features benefit home schoolers, the learning disabled and adult learners worldwide

Herndon, VA, 09/20/2006 - WizardsSpell, a web-based, interactive spelling tool, has added a host of new features that make spelling easy for any student working to build a vocabulary for reading and writing, including the learning-disabled and adults with literacy issues.

WizardsSpell combines sound, visual and tactile cues in order to facilitate memorization of words. Students can configure the cues to emphasize visual word fades, spoken words, and typed words to best suit their learning style.

"Addressing spelling difficulties is very important in helping a students master reading and writing skills." said Joanne Wood, special education teacher and advisor to WizardsSpell. "The more senses that are involved in word memorization, the more successful the learn-to-spell process will be."

In the latest release, WizardsSpell has added improved list and assignment management, online testing, and tips for homophones. WizardsSpell allows parents and teachers to assign, create and share multiple lists from a library of more than 20,000 words. The WizardsSpell list library includes grade level spelling lists, frequently used and misspelled words, and advanced wordlists suitable for studying for spelling bees.

Although WizardsSpell was originally conceived as a tool to help children, it is also helping many others, including stroke victims who need to re-imprint words in memory, and adults who have never learned to read. The tool is reaching users around the world, with subscribers in locations as diverse as Singapore, Shanghai and Spain.
