Improve Comprehension!
With the addition of sentences and definitions, WizardsSpell clearly pegs itself as the best spelling practice tool on the planet -- and advances itself from just a spelling tool to a vocabulary, reading, and literacy builder. Each word can have a sentence and a definition! Students can choose which cues they want to hear during the practice session, or teachers or parents can configure this in the student profile.
The common library of these sentences and definitions are accessible to everyone. Now WizardsSpell can be used to help students learn terms in other subject areas: Math, Science, History…. There are no limits!

Prepare for college testing.
5000 SAT words and their definitions are organized into 200, 25-word lists. These lists were developed by Steve Babba, a well-recognized SAT tutor. Thankfully, and unlike a dictionary definitions, his are clear and simple -- the uncomplicated essence of the word. These lists, coupled with our tried and true Visual Fade, and Sound cues, clean and efficient work environment, will help teenagers and advanced spellers prepare for testing or just improve their overall vocabulary.

Be there now! If I'm lost, I'm annoyed.
We never stop asking: Is the next step clear? Can they get to the most important information as quickly as possible?
Everyone is on information overload, and nothing is more frustrating than looking at a screen and not knowing what to do next. For teachers especially, if it takes a lot of time, they simply can't use it.
Over the course of the summer we made great strides in moving towards a one-click environment without turning our pages into a cluttered mass of confusing Links. Focus sessions with teachers helped us understand. They talked -- we listened. Here's a sampling of some of processes we streamlined:

- Student Info. The computer lab is packed with 15 kids. 5 of them are complaining: I forgot my password! 1-Click from the Teacher's home page: the log on and password, the assignments, and the configured learning cues are instantly available.
- What List Should I See When I login? Being able to make individual AND class assignments is a unique feature that only WizardsSpell provides. Struggling spellers can be assigned extra lists for remediation, while advanced spellers can be assigned SAT and Spelling Bee Lists. Both can work standard weekly assignments. How does the teacher or parent know what lists the child sees when he or she logs on? We've highlighted the lists students see and greatly improved the summary of their assignments.
- What do I do Now? Every page that is not a help page has a help link in the upper right corner. Need help? It's one click away.
- Your Lists are Too Big! Some of our library lists are over 100 words long.
Previously, dividing them meant making multiple lists; for example dividing
a 100-word list into 4 lists meant making 4 copies and deleting off words to
create the desired 25-word list. The "List Splitter" now allows you to
automatically copy 4 new lists into your library! You can divide a list up
into whatever number of lists you want.
At WizardsSpell, we are never afraid to examine our warts (if we have any left!) and we always listen to your feedback. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and suggestions with us, as we continually strive to improve our product. Stay tuned for more enhancements in the future. Thank you for using WizardsSpell. Happy Spelling!
